"This monumental collection portrays the Ottoman Empire during the reign of one of its last sultans, Abdul-Hamid II. The 1,819 photographs in 51 large-format albums date from about 1880 to 1893. They highlight the modernization of numerous aspects of the Ottoman Empire, featuring images of educational facilities and students; well-equipped army and navy personnel and facilities; technologically advanced lifesaving and fire fighting brigades; factories; mines; harbors; hospitals; and government buildings. Most of the places depicted are within the boundaries of modern-day Turkey, but buildings and sites in Iraq, Lebanon, Greece and other countries are also included.”

Adham is Shuwayman Sabbah horse born in 1992 tracing back to the Shuwayma Sabbah mare of Mohammed Mejalli Al-Tahawi. His sire is a Kuheilan Al-Kharass horse. His dam’s sire is a Dahman Amer tracing back to Dahma of “Jarallah Ibn Twerish” from Eneza. His pedigree has the great horses “Barakat” and “Dahman Abdullah Saoud” on both dam’s and sire’s sides. Mohammed Mejalli is the breeder of Nasr (TAH) and from his stud came Malouma, exported to the US. ~ Yasser Ghanim al-Tahawy

Written on the death of founder Albert Harris, the article is a description of his horse activities, including as president of the Arabian Horse Club of America. His endeavors with his horses were primarily in athletic contests, including endurance, and he wanted a stout, correct, athletic animal. Kemah Stud's primary location was Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
